At Richard Polo, we design with utmost intention.
Each magnetic closure is securely enclosed within the garment, protected by layers of fabric using reinforced construction.
This makes the magnets completely inaccessible to little hands.
We do recommend occasionally checking the seams near the magnetic panel.
If you notice tearing, loose stitching, or fabric damage, please discontinue use for safety.
Are Richard Polo garments safety tested?
Absolutely.
Our magnetic onesies undergo independent laboratory testing to ensure they meet — and exceed — industry safety standards for infants and young children.
Can the magnets affect pacemakers?
The magnets used in our onesies are small and securely enclosed within the fabric for fastening purposes. For most people, they do not pose a risk during normal use.
However, magnets can potentially interfere with certain medical devices, such as pacemakers or implanted defibrillators, if they are placed very close to the device.
As a precaution, we recommend:
- Keeping magnetic closures away from the chest area of anyone with a pacemaker or similar medical device
- Not placing the garment directly over a medical device
- Consulting a doctor if you have specific medical concerns
Do not use the garment if it becomes damaged and magnets are exposed
